The Confession star, Italia Ricci joined SciFi Vision for an exclusive interview about her role as Naomi in the supernatural horror thriller film released in January.

Italia plays a widowed mother of one son, Dylan, who moves back to her deceased father’s home in Texas after experiencing fame in California. Her son, Dylan, played by Zachary Golinger shares that he is experiencing weird happenings in the house.  Naomi explores what could be behind the events happening in the house.

Children in supernatural and horror films seem to bring the creep factor. Ricci agrees and says that having children in these types of movies, especially now that she is a mother, she doesn't want anything that makes your skin crawl. Even in real life having an unusual experience when her and her husband were watching tv and on the baby monitor saw their son was sitting up in his bed in the middle of the night. He appeared to be still sleeping, and he started swaying for a minute, and they joked whether they should call an exorcist. She also says it goes for animals, as well. She does not like when things that shouldn’t exist in reality and are doing things that naturally they would not do in whatever story it is.

She also is creeped out over the randomness of crimes. Her favorite scary movie is The Strangers, because they terrorize and murder a couple in a cabin for no good reason, and it stays with her, because it doesn’t make any sense and can’t be prevented or controlled. Anything beyond control is terrifying to her.

The Night Manager, which recently aired on Prime Video, is a spy thriller where nothing is ever as it seems. Diego Calva joins the cast as Teddy Dos Santos for season two after a nine year gap between seasons. The character of Teddy is at the heart of everything and must navigate the treacherous landscape. 

SciFi Vision recently had the opportunity to speak with Calva about his role of on the series, where he opens up and digs deep into the character.

Directed by Christophe Gans, the director of the original 2006 film, the psychological thriller sequel Return to Silent Hill follows a man, James Sunderland (Jeremy Irvine), broken after the relationship with the love of his life, Mary Crane (Hannah Emily Anderson), comes to an end. After receiving a mysterious letter from Mary, he is pulled back to Silent Hill, only to find the town an unrecognizable hell, transformed by evil. James embarks on a terrifying search for his wife, encountering frightening creatures along the way, but as he tries to unravel the mystery of what happened, he must not only try to save Mary, but face a horrifying truth that will push him to the edge of his sanity.

The film, which is based on the second game in the franchise, is now in theaters.

Recently, director Gans, who also co-wrote the film, spoke with SciFi Vision about working on the film, including details about creating his vision, how he incorporated the endings of the game, and more.

Season two of The Hunting Party follows FBI profiler Rebecca “Bex” Henderson (Melissa Roxburgh) as she fights to get the task force back together while dealing with the fallout Odell (Nick Wechsler)’s death and the fact that their new boss, Lazarus (Kari Matchett) is a serial killer from The Pit. The team reinstated, she and CIA officer Jacob Hassani (Patrick Sabongui) and former prison guard Shane Florence (Josh McKenzie) come back together to continue searching for the missing inmates. The group is often helped from the command center by Army Intelligence Officer Jennifer Morales (Sara Garcia).

The newest edition to the franchise, Star Trek: Starfleet Academy, premiered this month on Paramount+. Oded Fehr recently joined the cast as Admiral Vance on the series, continuing the role that he created on Star Trek: Discovery. For the first time in over 120 years, Starfleet has restarted the Academy to prepare the next generation of Starfleet. People may recognize Oded from his roles in the Resident Evil franchise or his many TV guest spots, such as Charmed.

Fehr recently spoke with SciFi Vision about working on the series, which airs Thursdays on Paramount+.

In season one of Hijack, Sam Nelson (Idris Elba) stopped a hijacking aboard a plane, in season two, after boarding a Berlin U-Bahn train, he becomes the hijacker, athough reluctantly. It’s soon revealed that he’s being manipulated by those with ties to the previous hijacking, who are threatening his wife. Sam uses his negotiating skills to manipulate both the passengers and police.

Albrecht Schuch plays the role of Freddie, an innocent passenger out of his depth who is dragged into the plan.

On his journey to find Mary, he not only faces terrifying creatures, but is pushed to the edge of his sanity as he must face a horrifying truth.

Recently, Irvine spoke to SciFi Vision about working on the film, including his love for the game, the difficulties in being in almost every scene, and more, even touching a bit on Outlander: Blood of My Blood. Return to Silent Hill is based on the second game in the franchise and is now in theaters.

The Copenhagen Test, which aired on Peacock, is a fast-paced spy thriller, that keeps you guessing at every turn. Kathleen Chalfant plays the character of St. George, a mystery woman who is the head of the secret organization known as The Orphanage. You may also know Kathleen from her illustrious career playing characters such as Margaret Butler on The Affair, or guest arcs on Madame Secretary and House of Cards.

While searching for Mary, he encounters many terrifying creatures as well as a familiar looking woman (also Anderson) and a young girl, Laura (Evie Templeton). The further James ventures into the town the more terrifying secrets he uncovers that all lead to one horrible truth.

Recently, Anderson and Templeton spoke with SciFi Vision about working on the film, including how it was for Anderson to play multiple characters, how it was different for Templeton working on the film compared to the remake of the game when she played the same character, what it was like working with the costumes, and more.

Happy’s Place is an ensemble cast sitcom lead by Reba McEntire. Reba’s character, Bobbie, inherits a restaurant from her late father only to find out she has to share it with her sister, who she didn’t know existed. SciFi Vision got to sit down with co-creator, Kevin Abbot and director, Pamela Fryman to talk about the second season. They shared a few behind the scenes moments with us.
