Directed by Christophe Gans, the director of the original 2006 film, the psychological thriller sequel Return to Silent Hill follows a man, James Sunderland (Jeremy Irvine), broken after the relationship with the love of his life, Mary Crane (Hannah Emily Anderson), comes to an end. After receiving a mysterious letter from Mary, he is pulled back to Silent Hill, only to find the town an unrecognizable hell, transformed by evil. James embarks on a terrifying search for his wife, encountering frightening creatures along the way, but as he tries to unravel the mystery of what happened, he must not only try to save Mary, but face a horrifying truth that will push him to the edge of his sanity.

The film, which is based on the second game in the franchise, is now in theaters.

Recently, director Gans, who also co-wrote the film, spoke with SciFi Vision about working on the film, including details about creating his vision, how he incorporated the endings of the game, and more.
