Many people may not recognize the name Adam Copeland, as most fans know him as WWE Superstar "Edge." Copeland, however, has recently retired and stepped out of the ring. He can now be seen on television in a new role. Friday marked the debut of Copeland on Syfy's Haven, where he plays the part of Dwight Hendrikson, the mysterious "Cleaner." Copeland will be back for three more episodes airing September 9, 16, and 23.

Copeland recently sat down with the media to talk about working on Haven.

Sunday marks the season four finale of the popular USA Network Drama In Plain Sight. A lot has been going on this season - Mary (Mary McCormack) was surprised to find out she was pregnant, her sister Brandi (Nicole Hiltz) is about to get married, and her partner Marshall (Frederick Weller) started dating Detective Abigail Chaffee (Rachel Boston).

Recently the stars of the series, McCormack and Weller, sat down with the media to discuss the upcoming season finale as well as be candid about Mary and Marshall's romantic feelings and Mary's own pregnancy.

Jeri Ryan is not new to television. She has worked on series such as Star Trek: Voyager where she played the memorable Seven of Nine, Boston Public, Shark, and Leverage. She currently plays the role of Kate Murphy in ABC's Body of Proof.

Ryan recently guest starred on the popular Syfy series Warehouse 13, where she played Pete Lattimer's (Eddie McClintock) ex-wife.

Ryan recently sat down to talk to the media about her guest appearance and other projects.

Sharif Atkins is probably best known for his role of Michael Gallant on ER, but he also appeared in series such as Hawaii, 4400, and Numb3rs. Recently Atkins appeared in the film Preacher's Kid. Atkins currently plays the character of FBI Agent Clinton Jones in USA Network's original series White Collar, which will air its midseason finale on Tuesday.

Atkins recently took time to talk to members of the digital media about the series.

Fans of Warehouse 13 were thrilled to see the return of Lindsay Wagner in a recent episode as Dr. Vanessa Calder, warehouse physician and possible love interest of Artie (Saul Rubinek). She played heavily in the episode "Love Sick," which aired recently, where Claudia (Allison Scagliotti) and Artie team up with Dr. Calder and Hugo Miller, played by guest star Rene Auberjonois, to find an artifact that uses a computer program to affect people.

Prior to the airing of this episode, Lindsay Wagner took the time to answer questions about Warehouse 13, her character's upcoming cameo appearance on the new Syfy original series Alphas, and the role her holistic lifestyle plays in her acting career.

This week, Caprica's Sasha Roiz returned to Syfy in a guest-starring role on Warehouse 13. Roiz plays Marcus Diamond, a mysterious character who takes on the Warehouse crew.

Roiz describes the character as "focused, and exacting, and complex."

But in a recent conversation with the media, he was tightlipped about the storyline. "It's a little bit of a mystery which will be revealed later in the season," he says, "so I can't tell you specifically, but I'm definitely part of...the nefarious force that's working against the Warehouse this season."

Roiz hinted that nefarious force could include some familiar faces. "There's a few people that I work in conjunction with [who] are also some interesting guest stars that you'll see. I can't tell you the specifics of it because there's a little bit of a mystery revolving around Marcus."

The new USA Network series, Necessary Roughness, follows Dani Santino (Callie Thorne) as she becomes a therapist for a football team. She must learn to balance work and family life. The first team member she treats is Terrence King, played by Mehcad Brooks.

Brooks is probably most known for his work on Desperate Housewives and more recently for his role of Eggs on True Blood. He can also be seen in the upcoming Chris Carter (The X-Files) film, Fencewalker.

Aside from acting, Brooks is also one of the new models for Calvin Klein underwear advertisements.

Brooks recently sat down with the press to discuss his new series.

USA Network's Covert Affairs follows CIA operative Annie Walker (Piper Perabo) as she goes on secret missions around the globe, all while struggling to still have a life outside of work. The series also stars Christopher Gorham as fellow agent Auggie Anderson.

One of Covert Affairs' recent episodes focused on Gorham's character and how he became blind.

Gorham is not new to television and previously worked on such series as Popular, Felicity, Odyssey 5, Jake 2.0 and Ugly Betty, to name a few. More recently Gorham starred in the film The Ledge, which has been accepted into the 2011 Sundance Film Festival.

The Mercury Men, the new web series airing on Syfy.com, started out as a short concept film by Christopher Preksta. Preksta is known for writing and directing the web series Captain Blasto, which starred himself alongside Curt Wootton and Mark Tierno, who also star in The Mercury Men.

The Mercury Men short, which was featured at Comic-Con in 2008, and was later expanded into the web series, was inspired by the same retro serials that inspired such films as Star Wars and Indiana Jones. The black and white series is made up of ten episodes, each approximately seven minutes in length.

Besides being released as a web series, other media elements have been released, such as behind-the-scenes footage, as well as unique digital props for viewers to delve deeper into the universe that is The Mercury Men.

Preksta, Wootton, and Tierno sat down recently in an exclusive interview with SciFi Vision to discuss the release of The Mercury Men.

 

This weekend marked the end of an era for a lot of fans. The Harry Potter film series, based on J.K. Rowling's novels, came to an end with the last installment - Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 - last Friday, July 15. The movie was sold out across the country Thursday night, most places weeks in advance as many fans waited to see the conclusion.

The midnight opening of the film broke records as it did for largest opening day. On Friday alone, which was the biggest Friday opening in the history of Hollywood, the movie grossed an estimated $92.1 million, beating out the current opening day record of The Twilight Saga: New Moon with $72.7 million. The midnight screenings accounted for close to half of the revenues at $43.5 million! This also beat out The Twilight Saga: Eclipse midnight record of $30 million. As a bigger record still, the film broke weekend grossing records by bringing in $169.2 million, beating out The Dark Knight which previously held the record at $158.4 million.
