The Hunting Party is a crime procedural series that follows a team of investigators tasked with hunting down the most dangerous of serial killers who have escaped the secret government prison known as The Pit.

Episode eight of the series focuses on Denise Glenn (Janet Kidder), who was a St. Louis University professor before she turned to killing, obsessed with the idea of the Nine Muses. She would track the best and most qualified people from diverse fields that represented each of the muses as her victims.

The team is called in when a victim of a cellist is found murdered in a similar fashion to her previous victims, however, Denise couldn’t have been responsible, as she is not one of the killers who escaped. Additionally, the murder involves certain procedures that reference her victims that was not public knowledge. The team must work to uncover the copycat killer’s identity before they can kill anyone else.

Recently, Keto Shimizu, who is an executive producer on the series and co-wrote the episode, spoke with SciFi Vision about the gruesome murder victims, how they were created, casting Kidder, where the conspiracy of The Pit is headed, and more.

Let’s Shoot! with Pete Chatmon Podcast Live Event
Featuring Yellowjackets Screening and Panel

After five years, Let’s Shoot! with Pete Chatmon hosted its first live podcast event at Dynasty Typewriter in Los Angeles on March 19th. All proceeds went to The Altadena Community Preservation Fund to support families impacted by the California wildfires.

It was a special night, while raising funds for the California wildfire victims, Pete Chatmon, who directed the Yellowjackets episode, 'Thanksgiving (Canada)', was hosting in support of his podcast. It was Chatmon's first time directing for the show, but during the panel, it definitely sounded like he'll be back behind the camera.

The event began with Chatmon thanking his team and supporters, then launched into the screening of the Yellowjackets episode. The audience, filled with dedicated fans, reacted strongly to the events on screen.

The panel discussion followed the screening. The panel included Co-creators and Executive Producers, Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson, Executive Producer and Director, Jeffrey W. Byrd (Episode 305), Courtney Eaton (“Teen Lottie”), and Warren Kole (“Jeff Sadecki”).

Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson, the Executive Producers, discussed the genesis of Yellowjackets, detailing its development before their pitch. They described a tense 35-minute pitch to Showtime, where they initially believed it was unsuccessful, based on the executive's perceived negative reaction. This, they later discovered, was merely a result of the sun's glare.

Nine Bodies in a Mexican Morgue was created and written by Anthony Horowitz. The series, which airs Sundays on MGM+, follows nine strangers who find themselves stranded in the remote Mexican jungle after their small plane crashes while traveling from Guatemala to the United States. As the survivors struggle to navigate their new reality, they quickly realize that their ordeal is far from over when one by one they begin to die in mysterious and violent ways.

Recently, SciFi Vision spoke with creator and writer Horowitz about the series, which he revealed is more than a whodunnit. “It’s not just about who the killer is; it’s much more about why,” he told the site. “That to me is the real fun of it, and there’s a shock in episode six which I hope will really take you by surprise, where everything is revealed in one moment and it’s almost why I wrote the entire show for that moment, why it’s happening.”

In the highly anticipated season four finale of Mythic Quest, which dropped today on Apple TV+, the complex relationship between Poppy (Charlotte Nicdao) and Ian (Rob McElhenny) takes center stage. Poppy leaves for the Netherlands to move in with her boyfriend, Storm (Chase Yi), only to fake labor on the plane in order to return home, when she realizes Ian has returned from work after resigning. Ian admits the Elysium expansion is too important to him, because it’s all he has left of her. He didn’t tell her, because he knew she might not leave. Realizing he’s finally grown, Poppy admits that she had to come back if there was a “glimmer of hope” of making it with someone she loves. They hug, and in a shocking first, Ian pulls her into a kiss. The moment, however, doesn’t last as the two pull apart and are both shocked and not sure what to think.

Nicdao spoke with SciFi Vision last week about the season finale where she discussed Poppy navigating her impending motherhood, the intricacies of Poppy and Ian’s dynamic in the final episodes, the surprise of the kiss they shared, and much more.

Grosse Pointe Garden Society, which airs Sundays on NBC, is set in the affluent Detroit suburb of Grosse Pointe, Michigan and revolves around four members of a suburban gardening club – Birdie (Melissa Fumero), Catherine (Aja Naomi King), Brett (Ben Rappaport), and Alice (AnnaSophia Robb) - who share a dark secret: they’ve buried a body in the club’s garden. This sets off a chain of events that intertwine their lives.

Jocko Sims plays the character of Tucker, husband to Catherine, a real estate agent, who struggles to maintain her image of perfection. When Catherine admits to Tucker she’s been having an affair, he is unexpectedly forgiving.

Nine Bodies in a Mexican Morgue, created and written by Anthony Horowitz, tells the story of nine strangers who survive a plane crash and find themselves marooned in a remote Mexican jungle. As they struggle to survive, they soon realize that their ordeal is far from over. One by one, the survivors start dying under mysterious and violent circumstances. The remaining survivors must band together to uncover the identity of the killer among them before it's too late, however to do that, they must learn to trust each other.

Among the survivors are Zack Ellis and Carlos Garcia Mendez. Zack, portrayed by David Ajala, is a resourceful and determined individual who quickly becomes a key player in the group's efforts to survive and uncover the truth, however not everyone believes his story about working in insurance. Carlos, played by Peter Gadiot, was revealed to be a luchador, a masked Mexican wrestler, and the series most recent victim.

Episode seven of The Hunting Party, which aired on Monday, focuses on the capture of the serial killer, Mark Marsden, known as “The Widower,” who marries women and kills them shortly after the wedding.

At the end of the episode, Becks (Melissa Roxburgh), Jacob (Patrick Sabongui), and Oliver (Nick Wechsler) make their way to Silo 12 and make a significant discovery: inside they find the aftermath of a massacre rather than a breach. It’s also revealed that Silo 12 was the location the serial killers were brought for experimentation.

Meanwhile, when Shane (Josh McKenzie) goes to visit Pit scientist Dr. Dulles (Matt Frewer), he is barred entry as it’s been discovered he has been lying about being the man’s son.

Praise Kier! Apple’s global hit Emmy and Peabody Award-winning workplace thriller “Severance” lands season three renewal
