In SyFy’s latest creature feature, Sean Patrick Flanery stars as Daniel, a treasure hunter looking for the tomb of Genghis Khan. But the tomb is guarded by the man-eating Mongolian death worm, which doesn’t like to be disturbed. When Daniel and a U.N. aide worker played by Victoria Pratt (Day Break) find themselves battling local bandits, the worms get involved. Flanery recently answered questions about the role, and how he got involved with the film.
Alan Dale is quite an accomplished actor, whose work spans not only over three decades, but also the globe. Dale’s not only a popular actor here, but also in Australia, where he started his career over thirty years ago. He’s been in popular television series such as The X-Files, The West Wing, 24, and Ugly Betty, among many others, and movies such as Hollywood Homicide and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. He even did voiceover work for a few video games such as EverQuest II, and can also be seen in the upcoming movies Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark and Priest.
Dale plays the mysterious character of Charles Widmore on the popular series Lost.
Things are different behind the scenes for the third season of In Plain Sight, as new showrunner John McNamara settles into his duties, and sharpens the visual style of the show. McNamara is best known to our audiences for his work on the ground breaking Jericho, the post apocalyptic drama that ran two seasons on CBS and inspired the massive peanut mail in campaign started by TV Talk’s Shaun Daily.
Connor Fox may be fairly new to the acting scene, but the Virginia native is moving up. He has appeared in such movies as Invisible Man, Long Shadows, and Blood Night, and more recently in Ice Grill, USA, which he served as the executive producer of. He also has a starring role in the upcoming movie Yaksha, and is already working on his own script.
Jewel Staite, who is not new to the sci-fi scene, is probably best known for her roles on the television shows Firefly and Stargate: Atlantis. She has also appeared in other television shows in the past such as The X-Files and Dead Like Me, and will be starring in the upcoming movie P5Ych.
Mary McCormack is known for her work in movies such as Private Parts and K-PAX, and has appeared in such television programs as ER and The West Wing. She has also been involved in theater and garnered a nomination for a Tony Award for her work in the 2008 Broadway revival of Boeing Boeing.
Many people might first remember Donnie Wahlberg as a member of the music group New Kids on the Block from the late eighties and early nineties. The band has seen a revival and is currently on tour. Wahlberg, however, is much more than a singer, and has since gotten the acting bug and made his own mark in the entertainment industry. He has appeared in movies such as Ransom, The Sixth Sense, and three movies in the Saw series. He has been involved in television shows such as with his leading role in Boomtown. He also had a major role in the Emmy award winning mini-series Band of Brothers.
William Mapother has been in the entertainment business for quite some time. He has appeared in movies such as In the Bedroom and The Grudge and in television series such as Prison Break and Criminal Minds, and recently appeared in the new Fox show Human Target. He can also soon be seen soon on USA’s Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Mapother, however, is probably best known for his work on the hit ABC show Lost as the evil “Other,” Ethan Rom. Even though his character is gone, Mapother appeared in a recent episode of the show in Kate and Claire’s “flashsideways.”
