In this week’s episode of Murderbot, “Complementary Species,” the team is still reeling from Leebeebee (Anna Konkle)’s death at the hands of SecUnit (Alexander Skarsgård) and struggling with trust issues. Some members remain wary of SecUnit, despite its repeated efforts to protect them, while others, like Mensah (Noma Dumezweni), recognize their survival depends on its abilities.  Arada (Tattiawna Jones), ever practical and empathetic, tries to keep the group together. Pin-Lee (Sabrina Wu), on the other hand, remains deeply skeptical of SecUnit, aligning with Gurathin (David Dastmalchian) in advocating for caution and even suggesting they leave it behind. As the group debates their next move, the team’s escape is complicated by both the appearance of gigantic, alien creatures as well as the arrival of another hacked security unit.

The Better Sister follows estranged sisters Chloe Taylor (Jessica Biel) and Nicky Macintosh (Elizabeth Banks) whose lives collide after the murder of Adam Macintosh (Corey Stoll) – Chloe’s husband and Nicky’s ex. At the center of the turmoil is Ethan (Maxwell Acee Donovan), Nicky and Adam’s son, who becomes the prime suspect in his father’s death, forcing the sisters to confront long-buried secrets and their strained relationship. As Ethan faces trial, he is represented by the formidable attorney Michelle Sanders (Gloria Reuben). Meanwhile, Jake Rodríguez (Gabriel Sloyer), a partner at Adam’s firm and Chloe’s secret lover, becomes entangled in the investigation, further complicating the sisters’ quest for the truth.

Hell Motel, an eight-episode horror series from Slasher creators Ian Carpenter and Aaron Martin, follows a group of ten true crime enthusiasts who are invited to spend a weekend at the site of the newly renovated Cold River Motel, infamous for a satanic mass murder in the 1980s. Invited for the motel’s grand reopening, the guests' weekend of gory nostalgia quickly turns deadly when they find themselves trapped as a killer begins picking them off in gruesome, inventive ways. Among the guests are Paige (Paula Brancati), a washed-up scream queen desperate to revive her career, and Andy (Jim Watson), a true crime academic.

Recently, Watson and Brancati spoke with the press about the series, which premieres today on Shudder and AMC+.

On The Better Sister, which is now available on Prime Video, the seemingly perfect life of magazine editor Chloe Taylor (Jessica Biel) is upended when her husband Adam (Cory Stoll) is found murdered in their Hamptons home, bringing her estranged sister, Nicky (Elizabeth Banks), who is also Adam’s ex-husband and biological mother to their teenage son Ethan (Maxwell Ace Donovan), back into her life. The murder investigation is spearheaded by detectives Nancy Guidry (Kim Dickens) and her partner Matt Bowen (Bobby Naderi). When the detectives start to dig and Ethan becomes a suspect, the sisters are forced to work together under their scrutiny.

Recently, Dickens and Naderi, who previously worked together on Fear the Walking Dead, spoke with SciFi Vision about reuniting to work on The Better Sister.

The Librarians: The Next Chapter starts when Vikram Chamberlain (Callum McGowan), a Librarian from 1847, finds himself stranded in the present. After accidentally releasing magic across the country, he must adapt to the new world as he and a new team track down magical artifacts and restore order. Among the team is Lysa (Olivia Morris), the skeptical scientist who brings a logical, analytical mind to the team, refusing to take magic at face value, Connor (Bluey Robinson), the tech-savvy historian, and Charlie, a Guardian-in-training (Jessica Green).

In the this week's episode, “And the Memory Crystal,” Lysa is attending a seminar given by astrophysicist Dr. Roslyn Kirch (Ana Sofrenovic) at a renowned university when a powerful artifact, the Memory Crystal, surfaces. When students and faculty are mysteriously losing their memories and the future itself becomes threatened, the Librarians must work together to recover it.

Adapted from the comics series of the same name by Tim Seeley and Mike Norton, the supernatural series Revival premieres tomorrow on Syfy. The series follows police officer Dana Cypress (Melanie Scrofano) as she prepares to leave her hometown of Wausau, Wisconsin with her young son, Cooper (Hudson Wurster), only for her life to be upended when the recently deceased rise from their graves on what comes to be known as “Revival Day.” After returning to life, the “revivers” appear and act just like they were before they died. As the town is quarantined and gripped by fear, Dana finds herself at the center of a murder investigation where both the living and the dead are suspects, all while contending with her own family secrets and her estranged sister, Em (Romy Weltman).

On this season of Resident Alien, which premiered on the Friday, the show picks up with Harry (Alan Tudyk) and his baby Bridget still stuck in an alien prison on the Grey Moonbase after a shape-shifting Mantid alien took over his identity and returned to Earth in his place. Harry must make his way back to Earth and find the means to destroy the Mantid, which won’t be easy.

Meanwhile, Asta (Sara Tomko) and D’Arcy (Alice Wetterlund) must keep the truth from Ben (Levi Fiehler) and Kate (Meredith Garretson), who both are looking to answers for what happened to them and their baby.

Sheriff Mike (Corey Reynolds) and Deputy Liv (Elizabeth Bowen) attempt to solve murders in Patience that Mike may start to believe have been committed by something not human.

In the new version of the franchise, which takes place in Belgrade Serbia, a Librarian from the past, Vikram Chamberlain (Callum McGowan), travels through time and is stranded in the present. Trying to find his way back to 1847, he unwittingly releases magic across the country, forcing him to stay behind to help a new team of Librarians to track down magical artifacts and stop the threat from spreading.

Tonight, an all-new episode, “And the Thief of Love,” the Librarians are off to Paris where victims of multiple robberies are left lovestruck. When they find out that Cupid himself is involved, they must track him down and convince him to help.

Recently, co-creator and showrunner Dean Devlin spoke with SciFi Vision about returning for the new series, how it’s unique from its predecessors, his favorite bits, casting, juggling three series at once, and much more.

Murderbot follows the story of a private security cyborg, SecUnit (Alexander Skarsgård), who after disabling its own governor module, secretly frees itself from the corporation’s control but must conceal its independence while joining a team of human researchers on dangerous missions. In the most recent episode, which premiered today on Apple TV+, the crew, who has taken in DeltFall survivor Leebeebee (Anna Konkle), works to repair SecUnit’s damaged systems in the aftermath of his near self-destruction. Tensions flare, as in the process, Gurathin (David Dastmalchian) discovers that SecUnit has overridden its governor module and is now fully autonomous. Despite initial suspicion, most of the crew side with SecUnit, knowing it has been trying to protect them. Later, the episode culminates in a dangerous mission to manually trigger a distress beacon, resulting in an explosion that leaves the fate of SecUnit and Mensah (Noma Dumezweni) uncertain.
