On Saturday January 29th 80's pop icons Debbie Gibson and Tiffany worked together for the first time in the Syfy original movie Mega Python vs. Gatoroid. A fanatical animal rights advocate (Gibson) steals exotic snakes from pet stores and sets them free in the Florida Everglades. Here they grow to extremely large sizes. Seeing this as a threat to the Florida Everglades, a park ranger (Tiffany) injects the swamp's alligators with large amounts of steroids, increasing their size to battle the snakes. The end result is a battle for the ages. This was the second monster movie for both ladies as Gibson previously starred in Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus, while Tiffany starred in Mega Piranha.

USA's newest series, Fairly Legal premieres tonight at 10/9c. The original scripted centers on the character Kate Reed, played by Sarah Shahi (Life, The L Word), a frustrated litigator who became the ultimate anti-lawyer: a mediator. Reed uses her knowledge to solve people's problems to prevent them from going to trial. The series also stars Virginia Williams (Revenge of the Bridesmaids, How I Met Your Mother), as Kate's stepmother, and now boss because of Sarah's father's passing, as well as her soon-to-be ex-husband Justin, played by Michael Trucco (Battlestar Galactica, Castle). Baron Vaughn (The Other Guys, Law & Order) stars as Kate's assistant Leonardo.

The wait is finally over. Tonight SyFy will premiere their new series, Being Human, a "reimagining" of the BBC series of the same name. Some fans of the original series aren't sure if they should tune in tonight, but they should. The new series stands on its own, even with the same overall story - a vampire, a werewolf, and a ghost live together as roommates. After that, is anyone's guess. According to those involved in the series, plots may change and even if situations are the same, characters may react in different ways. The second season may not resemble that of the original series at all. Regardless, the series so far is brilliant. After watching the pilot tonight you will be thirsting for more.
On Monday, Syfy will debut its newest series, Being Human. The series is based on the British hit of the same name, but has been touted as a reimagining rather than a remake. The overall story is the same – the show features three twenty-something roommates – a vampire, a werewolf, and a ghost. The story follows their lives as they struggle to retain their humanity.
