The three-part murder mystery series Towards Zero, which originally aired on BBC One last month, premiered yesterday in the US on Britbox. The series, directed by Sam Yates, was adapted by Rachel Bennette from Agatha Christie's 1944 novel of the same name. In England in 1936, after a high-profile divorce, tennis star Neville Strange (Oliver Jackson-Cohen) and his ex-wife Audrey (Ella Lily Hyland) shock everyone when they decide to spend the summer together at Gull’s Point, the seaside estate of his aunt, Lady Tressilian (Anjelica Huston). The situation is complicated by the presence of Neville’s new wife, Kay (Mimi Keene), and a house full of eccentric guests, including a lady’s companion (Anjana Vasan), Neville’s mysterious valet (Adam Hugill), a resentful cousin with a grudge (Jack Farthing), a seasoned lawyer (Clarke Peters), a curious orphan (Grace Doherty), and a French con man (Khalil Ben Gharbia). Tensions rise and simmering jealousies soon erupt, and when murder strikes, a troubled detective (Matthew Rhys) must unravel a tangled web of secrets and lies before another the killer strikes again.

Recently, stars Jackson-Cohen and Hyland spoke with SciFi Vision about working on the series, including building their characters’ relationship and how it was partially inspired by the relationship of Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton, working with costumes, and more.
