Created by John Griffin and executive produced by Griffin, showrunner Jeff Pinkner and director Jack Bender, the series will return in 2026 and production is scheduled to return to Nova Scotia in 2025 
 
LOS ANGELES — November 21, 2024—MGM+, a premium linear channel and streaming service, announced today that the hit sci-fi horror series FROM has been renewed for a 10-episode fourth season. Created by John Griffin (Crater) and executive produced by Griffin, showrunner Jeff Pinkner (Lost, Alias, Fringe) and director Jack Bender (Lost, Game of Thrones), the series unravels the mystery of a nightmarish town that traps all those who enter.  The series is set to return to production in Nova Scotia in 2025, and premiere in 2026.
 
FROM is the most viewed series in the history of the premium network, and has a 96 percent Rotten Tomatoes score.

Wizards of BakingToday Food Network airs an all-new episode of Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking. The competition blends imaginative storytelling with fantastical edible creations. The series is hosted by James and Oliver Phelps (Fred and George Weasley). They are joined by culinary judges Carla Hall and Jozef Youssef. The series, which was produced at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden, was filmed against the backdrop of Warner Bros. Studio Tour London: The Making of Harry Potter, featuring some of the original sets from the films.

In tonight's episode, with special guest Warwick Davis, the remaining teams enter the magical world of Gringotts Wizarding Bank to face off in three different head-to-head competitions where they will be asked to make three-foot showpieces inspired by Gringotts.

Interior ChinatownYesterday, the new series, Interior Chinatown, which was adapted from Charles Yu’s award-winning novel, premiered on Hulu. The series follows Willis Wu, a background actor trapped in the repetitive world of a television production. Constantly relegated to serving tables in “Black & White,” Willis harbors deep aspirations to break free from his current limitations. His life dramatically shifts when he becomes an inadvertent witness to a crime, an event that not only challenges his existing circumstances but also exposes a network of criminal activity and long-buried family secrets, all while he is discovering what it feels like to be spotlight for the first time.

In a recent interview with SciFi Vision, actors Archie Kao and Tzi Ma discussed their roles in the Hulu series.

Archie Kao plays Uncle Wong, who runs the Golden Palace restaurant in Chinatown and is Willis and Fatty’s boss. “I take it upon myself to see this community that lives in Chinatown as my responsibility in a lot of ways to kind of protect their welfare,” said the actor, emphasizing Uncle Wong’s protective nature towards his community, despite sometimes appearing thorny.

FROMBoyd and Ellis are looking for Fatima. It’s getting dark, but Ellis doesn’t want to leave without her. Boyd tells him she is safe because she has the talisman, but Ellis doesn’t think she would just leave. Boyd tells him that they can come back in the morning. Boyd’s hand starts to shake, and then he stumbles and almost falls. Ellis helps him.

Fatima is in the root cellar. Elgin comes in with a bag of stuff to help her be more comfortable. Fatima asks him to let her go. He says she’s not a prisoner; it’s for her own good. He’s trying to protect her. She tells him she saw the thing that’s been speaking to him, and what’s she’s saying isn’t true. The thing inside her isn’t good and won’t do good things. She says to look what happened to Tilly. He tells her that that happened because the baby was scared and hungry. He tells her she has to stop fighting. Elgin tells her she needs to eat, and then the stronger the baby will be, and before she knows it, she will be going home – they all will. He tells her that the baby helped them once – the night he found out she was pregnant he remembered his dream, and that helped Boyd save the town. He gives her the jar of his blood and tries to get her to drink it. He says she helped him so much when he got there and please to let him help her. He gets her to drink some of it.

His life takes a dramatic turn when he inadvertently witnesses a crime, uncovering a web of criminal activity and family secrets, all while experiencing the spotlight for the first time. Using a unique storytelling approach that blends meta-commentary with personal drama, the series explores the dynamics of racial representation, personal ambition, and the struggle to define one’s identity beyond societal expectations in the entertainment industry.

In a recent interview with SciFi Vision, Lisa Gilroy and Sullivan Jones shared insights into their roles in Hulu’s Interior Chinatown. Both actors portray exaggerated versions of stereotypical cops. Gilroy humorously mentioned her inspiration, saying, “I think of Mariska Hargitay all the time, every day and every night, no matter what I’m doing.” On the other hand, Jones drew from Clint Eastwood’s iconic presence for his role. “I thought about Clint Eastwood, just kind of being in control and [his] penetrating eyes and always like, just the rugged man's man,” said Jones.

Exclusive Video Interview: Bringing Alex Cross to Life: Insights from Cross’ Creator Ben Watkins

CrossCross, which recently premiered on Prime Video, is a gripping new series based on James Patterson's best-selling Alex Cross novels. The series, created by showrunner and executive producer Ben Watkins, follows Aldis Hodge as Cross, a detective and forensic psychologist who is able to dig into the minds of victims and their killers in order to identify and capture murderers, all while grappling with the trauma of his wife's death.

Watkins recently spoke with SciFi Vision, sharing some insights on adapting Patterson’s novels. Creating a series of eight episodes as opposed to a film allowed for deeper character exploration alongside a complex thriller plot, according to Watkins. “I went back into the books and realized there are elements of the books that never made it to the screen,” explained the creator. “…We get to do an intricate, very twisty thriller, but we also get a chance to go into the characters.”
