Q&A with Mary McCormack and Fred Weller
Mary McCormack is known for her work in movies such as Private Parts and K-PAX, and has appeared in such television programs as ER and The West Wing. She has also been involved in theater and garnered a nomination for a Tony Award for her work in the 2008 Broadway revival of Boeing Boeing.Fred Weller has appeared in movies such as Armageddon and The Shape of Things, and on television for shows such as Missing Persons and Law & Order: Criminal Intent. He also wrote and directed Street Car, which is currently doing the rounds on the festival circuit. Both McCormack and Weller appear in the film.

Many people might first remember Donnie Wahlberg as a member of the music group New Kids on the Block from the late eighties and early nineties. The band has seen a revival and is currently on tour. Wahlberg, however, is much more than a singer, and has since gotten the acting bug and made his own mark in the entertainment industry. He has appeared in movies such as Ransom, The Sixth Sense, and three movies in the Saw series. He has been involved in television shows such as with his leading role in Boomtown. William Mapother has been in the entertainment business for quite some time. He has appeared in movies such as In the Bedroom and The Grudge and in television series such as Prison Break and Criminal Minds, and recently appeared in the new Fox show Human Target. He can also soon be seen soon on USA’s Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Mapother, however, is probably best known for his work on the hit ABC show Lost as the evil “Other,” Ethan Rom. Even though his character is gone, Mapother appeared in a recent episode of the show in Kate and Claire’s “flashsideways.”

But Kirsten recently was cast in the role of Lucy in the 3rd installment of the Twilight franchise, Eclipse, which recently completed filming. Kirsten recently returned to acting after taking a break to attend University, and had several fun roles over the summer. And she is already being recognized on the street as a participant in the Twilight universe. The Twilight Saga: New Moon, the biggest movie turnout to date, sold out worldwide Thursday night. Fans around the world gathered together to see their favorite characters come to life. New Moon is the second installment in the Twilight series based on the book by Stephenie Meyer of the same name. Twi-hards, as they call themselves, are a huge fan base, including not just teens but also adults as well. They flock to everything Twilight, snatching up a wide variety of merchandise that is available this year, from shirts to packing tape to even underwear. Twilight and vampires are everywhere you look these days, and the fans go wild over them. True Blood follows the life of Sooky Stackhouse (Anna Paquin), a waitress living in Bon Temps, Louisiana, who is anything but a normal southern girl. Sookie is telepathic and bombarded by people’s thoughts until she meets Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer), who she can’t read because he is a vampire. In the world of True Blood, the vampires have recently “come out of the coffin” and can survive on synthetic blood, called TruBlood (though not all of them mainstream like Bill). The HBO series is based on The Southern Vampire Series by Charlaine Harris. True Blood was renewed for a second season last year after only two episodes aired - it was a bonafide success.
