Set after the battle between Godzilla and the Titans, the Monsterverse series Monarch: Legacy of Monsters follows two siblings trying to understand their family’s connection to the secretive organization Monarch. Season two follows the fallout from the group’s escape from Axis Mundi, as Keiko (Mari Yamamoto) is thrust into the 2017 reality and forced to reconcile the decades she lost with her grown son, Hiroshi (Takehiro Hira), and grandchildren, Cate (Anna Sawai) and Kentaro (Ren Watabe), who believed her long dead. Meanwhile, Tim (Joe Tippett) is thrust into more of a leadership role which will require him to make decisions that could affect the whole world.

Recently, Yamamoto and Tippett spoke with SciFi Vision about season two, including what it was like for Yamamoto to work with both Kurt and Wyatt Russell playing the same character, whether Tim is ready to be a leader, what their characters taught them, and more.

The Gray House, which premiered today on Prime Video, follows a group of Southern women operating a Union spy ring inside Confederate Richmond during the Civil War. At the center is Elizabeth Van Lew (Daisy Head), a wealthy socialite who secretly supports the Union and begins passing information from the heart of the Confederacy. Working alongside her is her mother, Eliza Van Lew (Mary-Louise Parker), who maintains their public standing while quietly helping the operation. They are aided by the formerly enslaved Mary Jane Richards (Amethyst Davis), who becomes a key operative, carrying information across enemy lines, and Clara Parish (Hannah James), who gathers intelligence through her proximity to high-ranking officials. Working together and risking their lives and freedom, they help evolve the Underground Railroad operation into a highly effective spy network.

Dark Winds continues the story of Navajo Tribal Police officers Lt. Joe Leaphorn (Zahn McClarnon), Jim Chee (Kiowa Gordon), and Bernadette Manuelito (Jessica Matten) as they take on violent crimes on the reservation.

Season four, which premiered yesterday on AMC and AMC+ focuses the disappearance of a Navajo girl. The investigation pulls them from the reservation into Los Angeles, where they confront an obsessive killer connected to organized crime. As the case expands, the officers must operate outside their usual jurisdiction in a race to bring her home. Meanwhile, Chee and Bernadette navigate the effects of their relationship on their jobs.

Today, MGM+ shared a first look teaser at the highly anticipated fourth season of fan-favorite sci-fi horror series FROM. Created by John Griffin (Crater) and executive produced by Griffin, showrunner Jeff Pinkner (Lost, Alias, Fringe) and director Jack Bender (Lost, Game of Thrones, The Institute), the series unravels the mystery of a nightmarish town that traps all those who enter. The new season will premiere Sunday, April 19 on MGM+.
 
FROM is the most viewed series in the history of the premium network, and has a 96 percent Rotten Tomatoes score.

In Season Four, the closer the residents of town get to the answers they seek, the more terrifying their search becomes. Who is the Man in Yellow, and what does he want? The Night Manager, which recently aired on Prime Video, is a spy thriller where nothing is ever as it seems. Diego Calva joins the cast as Teddy Dos Santos for season two after a nine year gap between seasons. The character of Teddy is at the heart of everything and must navigate the treacherous landscape. 

SciFi Vision recently had the opportunity to speak with Calva about his role of on the series, where he opens up and digs deep into the character.

Season two of The Hunting Party follows FBI profiler Rebecca “Bex” Henderson (Melissa Roxburgh) as she fights to get the task force back together while dealing with the fallout Odell (Nick Wechsler)’s death and the fact that their new boss, Lazarus (Kari Matchett) is a serial killer from The Pit. The team reinstated, she and CIA officer Jacob Hassani (Patrick Sabongui) and former prison guard Shane Florence (Josh McKenzie) come back together to continue searching for the missing inmates. The group is often helped from the command center by Army Intelligence Officer Jennifer Morales (Sara Garcia).

The newest edition to the franchise, Star Trek: Starfleet Academy, premiered this month on Paramount+. Oded Fehr recently joined the cast as Admiral Vance on the series, continuing the role that he created on Star Trek: Discovery. For the first time in over 120 years, Starfleet has restarted the Academy to prepare the next generation of Starfleet. People may recognize Oded from his roles in the Resident Evil franchise or his many TV guest spots, such as Charmed.
